History –––––––––––––––

Bohrer-Croxdale & McAdoo, Inc. was formed in 1977 by Yvonne Bohrer, Sydney Croxdale and Sidney McAdoo. The principals brought many years of retail, general agency management and underwriting experience to their new business and have always been active in underwriting as well as management. With much hard work, they developed a solid reputation in the industry and watched BC&M grow from three determined ladies who believed in themselves to the current staff of thirty.

In 1988, Pat Prichard was hired as a full-time marketing representative working out of her Kansas City, Missouri office. In October 2008 she retired, and Twila Hall assumed her full responsibilities in marketing. In 1997, Sidney McAdoo retired from the agency. The same year we opened our Conway, Arkansas branch office. In 2003, Yvonne Bohrer retired from the agency leaving Sydney Croxdale as the sole owner of BC&M. Since that time, Sydney's son, Chris Akins, has assumed partial ownership in the agency.

Bohrer-Croxdale & McAdoo writes primarily in Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas for approximately 900 retail agencies, offering an extensive line of commercial products, including Long Haul Trucking, Commercial Auto, Public Auto, a variety of Property and Casualty coverages and a sizeable book of Directors and Officers, Public Officials and Miscellaneous Professional Liability. Agency operation is highly automated, and agency affiliations include NAPSLO, AAMGA, Missouri Association of Insurance Agents, Surplus Lines Association of Missouri, Independent Insurance Agents of Kansas, Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas, and Surplus lines Association of Arkansas.

In October 2007, Bohrer-Croxdale & McAdoo, Inc celebrated its 30th anniversary in business and is still going strong.
